Then come find me....

Come find me....
"Find out who you are. Find your place in this big world and let the world see who you've become and everything you have to offer. Search until you find the end of the rainbow...and the pot of gold. Find the brightest star in the sky... and let it guide you. Pursue the one thing you can't live without. Look for love. Experience everyone...let the world see your face because it deserves to know YOU! And after that...if you still love me...if I'M the one thing you can't live without...come find me.
Now go... the long road ahead awaits you. And the only way to know what the destination at the end is....to find it. Maybe I'll be there."
This isn't based off anything in my life. I just wrote it to go with my blog. To tell a story.

My new obsession....(history)

"Brother against Brother"

"Men fall....They are bleeding, torn, and mangled....The trees are splintered, crushed, and broken, as if smitten by thunderbolts....There is smoke, dust, wild talking, shouting; hissings, howlings, explosions. It is a new, strange, unanticipated experience to the soldiers of both armies, far different from what they thought it would be."

When what you want...means constantly risking your life...

I have recently decided to go into the United States Coast Guard...and until I am of age I will hopefully be training non-stop on my own so that I am more qualified to be a rescue swimmer at least by age 24. I hope to attend the one of the USCG academies when I graduate from high school. After that I hope to successfully pass the hard core training for Rescue Swimming. I feel like God has really shown me something by giving me a desire and determination to do this that I have never felt before about doing anything else. I've never been a "military bound" girl (or so I thought)...but He has really taken me out of my comfort zone. I hope that I will be in your prayers as I plan to train for a very risky job. I know that I will be praying a lot and making sure that this REALLY is my calling like I think it may be. Thank you...

Can I Have This Dance?...

[Gabriella]
Take my hand, take a breath
Pull me close and take one step
Keep your eyes locked on mine,
And let the music be your guide.
[Troy, Gabriella]
Won't you promise me (now won't you promise me, that you'll never forget)
We'll keep dancing (to keep dancing)
wherever we go next
(chorus)
It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance
[Troy]
Take my hand,
I'll take the lead
And every turn will be safe with me
Don't be afraid, afraid to fall
You know I'll catch you threw it all
[Troy, Gabriella]
And you can't keep us apart (even a thousand miles, can't keep us apart)
'Cause my heart is (cause my heart is) wherever you are
(chorus)
It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance[Gabriella And Troy]
Oh no mountains too high enough, oceans too wide
'Cause together or not, our dance won't stop
Let it rain, let it pour
What we have is worth fighting for
You know I believe, that we were meant to be
(chorus)It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you (like you)
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do (way we do)
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance
Can I have this dance
Can I have this dance

Johnny & June

June Carter: We've got these people all revved up, John. Now c'mon, let's sing Jackson for 'em.

Johnny Cash: You've got me all revved up. Now I've asked you forty different ways and it's time you come up with a fresh answer.

June Carter: Please sing.

Johnny Cash: I'm asking you to marry me. I love you, June. Now I know I said and done a lotta things, that I hurt you, but I promise, I'll never do that again. I only want to take care of you. I will not leave you like that dutch boy with your finger in the dam.

Johnny Cash: You're my best friend. Marry me.

June Carter: All right.

Johnny Cash: Yeah?

A Fight for Life

Children in Africa are dying. There families are dying. Many are orphaned by AIDS everyday, and most of them are HIV positive themselves. Children are forced to grow up at such young ages just to get by and to watch their younger siblings. We sit around complaining about the things we WANT, when they don't have half of what they NEED. We are selfish people living in a selfish nation.

Those children need food, and clothes, and love...but most of all they need God.

God has called me to help in larger ways than he may have called you. But you can still help. The next time you're sitting around enjoying everything God has blessed you with....pray. People talk about sending money...and that's great if you feel led to do so. But what is the purpose of anything if they don't have God or if it's done without God? Pray for them... and pray for missionaries...like I hope to be someday.

Everyday I wake up...somedays I'm joyful...and others I think I have it so so bad because I didn't get what I wanted.

But everyday millions of kids wake up...and they fight for survival.

Everyday is a fight for life.

Pray...please.

:)lesson

I am totally teaching in two weeks. I can't wait. I think that my personal experiences make good lessons, and this time I am teaching on finding God and listening to him even when you feel like there is nothing left to live for. I think that this is a good topic. Lately I have had such mixed feelings about life and I have been going through it without God. It has been miserable. Sometimes I'm thinking "hurry up God i'm done here," and others I'm thinking "well, maybe not." the thing is.....I'm not. God has a plan for my life that he has made clear...so clear that I just can't deny it...and I know that I can't do this without him. I'm terrified. I know that where he wants me is anywhere and everywhere. That involves me leaving people and things that I love....like the place I grew up, and the people that helped me get where I am today. That scares me, but I have to listen. I want to help people and I want to teach people about the one God that has made me the person I am today.

Trying...

I am trying to not let this get to me....
People are so cruel sometimes with absolutely no right. It's funny how things you know aren't true....still get to you just because someone else said it.
I try not to let the world and the people in it get to me....but they do.
Pray for me...please.

I believe...

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease
I trust in You
I trust in You
I believe You're my Healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You're my Portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus You're all I need
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
You hold my world in Your hands

Greatest Friend Ever...

It was on my mind tonight that I have the bestest friends ever. The other night I was really upset and my bestie (ole--left) played with my hair while I layed across her and cried. When you stop to think about the things God has placed in your life...it is simply amazing. She has been there for me even when I was stupid and wasn't there for her. She is simply amazing and I don't know what I would do without her.
**MY POINT**
Don't overlook what God has given you...little or big. And always be thankful for the blessings he places in your life
LOVE YOU OLE!!!

Leaving it to him...

God has put me in a situation where I have to trust him. It's hard, but he has shown me that what I want is also what he wants just not for this moment. It's hard for me because I am very impatient, but I know that being patient could pay off in the long run. So I'm going to live my life happily and wait.
Also I think that I am teaching the youth again soon and am torn between subjects so please pray that God show me the right lesson to teach.
Also pray for me as I make the decision to give next summer up with my friends and family to be a summer missionary far from home.
I hope that I will be in your prayers
-love you guys,

Happiness...

God has layed out everything for me because I have chosen to let him do what he wants for my life. Everything I need and even things I want have fallen into place because he has allowed them to and I have allowed him to take control of my life.

Wonder of it all...

I haven't been here in awhile.
God has made it UNBELIEVABLY evident. Everything. What he wants for my life and how he wants me to serve him. I mentioned evangelism earlier in my blogs as a maybe, and now it is a definitely...I think. I am almost positive.
I taught my lesson two weeks ago and God used me to lead 4 people to him. I stood in awe. I had no idea why me???
Why me? Is all I could ask. Why me? How?
And he said "cause" lol
I know that he has a plan for my life and I have no idea why. I sat in the car on Sunday after one of the girls decided to follow in baptism and I just fought back tears. The thought of everything scares me, but I can't turn away from it. I am scared to leave my family for other countries, and it scares me to think of the possibility that I won't be able to start my own. I want children and a husband one day. Although I know that he will make a way for me. Without a doubt. And I know that he is calling me into the ministry. He is calling me into evangelism and mission work.
I have surrendered. It's all with him. His dreams for my life, whether I like it right now or not, are more important that mine. Cause I am not living for me. I am living for him.

It's my birthday...

And I refuse to cry this year. The past couple of birthdays haven't been the best...but I am determined to make this one amazing. I am 16 today at 10:10 and I couldn't be happier.
Last nights half time performance was pretty dang awesome...I didn't mess up. A couple of my tosses didn't land the way I wanted them to...but I caught them so it's ok.
Well, Meg and Beth are home for the weekend so Ima go hang out with my sisters. Talk to you kids later...

Sick of this...

I'm so sick of this. Ever so tired and through with it all.

GREAT NEWS!!!

The drama is tomorrow. I am super excited but I am also very nervous. Friends and family will be there..*sigh* but I know that I am doing this for God...So it is all good. The next week is going to be extremely hectic....with practices all over the place and performances too.

GREAT NEWS::
I found out recently that the college I wanna go to offers a scholarship that pays for half of my tuition if I study what I wanna study. It is a christian college and one of my best friends grandparents live there. Just recently (and just for your info... I have only met them once and spent a few days there) they bought a new house...three stories. The bottom floor is kinda like an apartment. There is a bathroom and a kitchen and one HUGE room and they offered us the whole floor... to live and eat there for free. She also said that if for some reason we couldn't have that floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the very top floor and between the bottom floor and the top we could definately have one of the two!!! Amazing??? I think so. God just keeps working and showing...and for that I am grateful.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

So....

I am so so excited you guys!!!! AHHHH I can't wait!!!! The lesson is so so amazing...I seriously CANNOT wait. Love you kids.

Friday, August 8, 2008

Welp....

My lesson is coming along quite nicely. I am really excited about what God is going to do with my testimony and with this lesson. I think that what I have to say can relate to a lot of youth. I can't wait to share this with them. I still have a long way to go, but I think this is going to be good.
BTW::
Have any ideas of how to get rid of someone....nicely....that you DON'T want to talk to ....EVER???
*sigh* I just got through crying my eyes out..."sexy" left for college today...six hours away. She is basically my sister. I have known her since I was four years old and I am devastatingly sad that she is now gone...But it will be okay.
Moving along
The drama is coming along nicely as well... Can't wait to share it with the church fam.
finally
I am getting close to finishing my book...my 742 page book. lol. Don't have much time to read most days cause of school. UGHH...but it is pretty interesting....kinda intense...
BYE YOU KIDS
That's about it. Thanks for reading...
Love you kids.

When Dreaming Ends...

"Where would we be without dreaming?
Dreaming is an escape into a world too good to be true. It’s a fairytale perfect ending every time. It’s a realm of the unknown where you desire to know more…
Dreams are a ring of light that you step into out of the darkness…
It seems like you can just dream away all of your problems….or life in general.
Dreaming makes it seem like you can just take the worst kind of pain and turn it into the best kind of happiness just by closing your eyes and wishing it away…
But what happens when you can’t just dream away your pain…?
When you can’t dream away your guilt…your worry…and anger?
What happens when even dreaming is so far out of reach…that you can’t find it?
What happens when you lose it…like you have lost yourself…
What happens when dreaming ends….?
And we are left to face the world… as it REALLY is…" -me
I was lying in bed and I just had an inspiration. So I got up and wrote it down ...then came here to share...Don't really know where it came from....but it is definitely something to think about isn't it???

Superrr Duperrr happyyy

The Missinator is returning home tomorrow after two months. I have missed her dearly.I also stood in line for an hour and a half (at midnight) to get my copy of Breaking Dawn. My friend "boo boo whip" came with and we didn't go to sleep till somewhere around 7 am. I think ima little too obsessed. That is okay though I suppose. Everyone dreams about "prince charming" at least once in their lifetime. I just so happen to dream about a Vampire named Edward Cullen...
And it truly breaks my heart....because he does not exist....
A little over dramatic...I know. But I'm seriously NOT lying

Story???

I think so. I was just inspired so so much. I love to write. Bet you didn't know that....
I'm excited about this one....

Super Dumb??

No, I did not write the song underneath for a friend of mine who was wondering. I have decided that it is SUPER DUMB to give up...the past few days have just not been good. I found out some news that threw me for a loop. It's just so hard to keep faith in Christ when it seems like absolutely nothing good is happening. Life is just like that I suppose......
I asked Youth Pastor recently if I could teach a lesson at Youth in a couple of weeks and he said that I could. I think that I could really reach some people with this lesson that I am working on. So please pray. Pray that God will give me the words and the wisdom. And that something that comes out of my mouth will reach out to someone listening and that EVERY single word glorifies him.
Love Much

courage is

Take all my viscous words and turn them into something good
Take all my preconceptions and let the truth be understood
Take all my prized possessions and leave only what I need
Take all my pieces of doubt and let me be what's underneath
Courage is when you're afraid but you keep on moving anyway
Courage is when you're in pain but you keep on living anyway
We all have excuses why living in fear something in us dies
Like a bird with broken wings, its not how high he flies but the song he sings
Courage is when you're afraid but you keep on moving anyway
Courage is when you're in pain but you keep on living anyway keep on living anyway keep on living anyway
It's not how many times you've been knocked down
It's how many times you get back up
Courage is when you've lost your way but you find your strength anyway
Courage is when you're afraid
Courage is when it all seems grey
Courage is when you make a change and you keep on living anyway
You keep on moving anyway
You keep on giving anyway
You keep on loving anyway

I'm Done

I'm done with this. I'm done with people and trying to overcome their stupidity. Thanks to them I now regret the best decision of my life. I'm done fighting it. It's over...because I let the world win. I'm done with trying to fight it because it surely is not letting me win...so congratulations....
I'm finished.

HILARIOUS!!

So for a whole week I felt as if I should tell this boy that I liked him.
Funny #1: I would never WANT to do that.
The only problem was...he has a girlfriend. So Thursday night the two of us talked (the boy and myself) and he gave some great advice. He told me to stop running away from whatever the situation was and just face it. Well, that was when I thought "hm..." So the following day him and some friends went to a late movie so I knew he would be out till at least midnight. I began praying and asked God what I should do because I really felt like I should tell him. So I said "Lord if this is what you want give me the strength to send the first message...."
Funny #2: He did
So I asked the boy "Do you remember when you told me to face the situation no matter what it was?" I sent this message at about 11:45 and then told God "If he doesn't reply before midnight...I'm not going to do it. This can be your sign." I called Macdaddy because I was nervous and told him about everything. The thing about "before midnight" and everything else. The minutes flew by and the clock reached 11:58. So I told Jacob that I wasn't going to do it and he said "It's not midnight yet". (This was me NOT wanting to)
Funny #3: suddenly...right then...I heard a beep. The beep my phone makes when I am on the phone letting me know I have received a message. I looked at the clock on my phone and it was 11:59 and I had received a message from him that said Yes to the question had asked
Jacob started cracking up and I was like "11:59??" So then I chickened out and tried to send him a message that said "Never mind," and while Jacob yelled at me for that I heard another beep.
Funny #4: My phone said..."Message unable to send."
So I had two options... don't reply at all...or do what God says...
Let me tell you a little something... Don't underestimate God. Because that HAD to be him.

Lyrics

These are some lyrics that a friend of mine showed me. It tells how God is the only relationship that you need to seek. I thought it was a good subject...especially this day in age. Girls who grow up without a loving father tend to go searching for love in all the wrong places... they turn to bad influences and sex just to feel loved. All they need to do is turn to God and they will find all the love that they need. Kay and I have started a skit to it, and through this also God has shown me even more concerning what I feel he is calling me to do. I know that I need to be a missionary and i also feel that he is calling me to be a youth minister, and do these dramas and skits for real. It's amazing what God can show you.
Here are the lyrics...
She grabbed her coat
Walked out the door
She said I won't take this no more
She left the only home she knew
Left searching for that something true
She'd never known love to be pure
That's why she's always looking for more
Tonight's your night
I'm not going to fight
This feeling any longer
She's all alone
Left out in the cold
Nowhere to turn she's helpless
Well You found her there
Answered her prayer
You'd always fill that hole she felt
She'd never known a love like Yours
A love that would give its life for hers
Tonight's your night
I'm not going to fight
This feeling any longer
Tonight's your night
I'm not going to fight
This feeling any longer
We're all just like that
No use in hiding
Any longer
Tonight's your night
I'm not going to fight
This feeling any longer

He does listen....

Last night I got angry. So angry that i didn't wanna listen to God. I wanted HIM to listen to ME! I thought he wasn't... but I got on my knees in my bedroom floor and turned up the song "Everything" by Lifehouse, and cried out to God. I finally gave up on the anger and listened to him... and he showed me what I wanted to know. Earlier that day we went witnessing at the mall. People were so so discouraging and it was tough. So tough that I would find myself being ashamed or embarrassed at times. Satan was EVERYWHERE that day. I tried to fight through it but I couldn't at some points. I realized that I was living for the world that day and I was being the person everyone expected me to be. Not who God wanted me to be. Because just like Satan...God was there too and I should have been listening to HIM! I learned that just because people expect you to be one thing...what God expects you to be is MUCH more important. One day that is going to be the only thing that matters. The only thing that will matter is who I am to GOD.

Going witnessing TODAY

I'm so so excited. I was able to witness to a friend last night and today I get to share God's love again. I cannot wait!! I hope you guys will be praying for us.

Lesson Learned...

So through all of that...This is what I learned
Do NOT underestimate the power of prayer...because God can show you what he can do in the blink of an eye...

testimony

I thought I might share my testimony like Jacob. So here it goes...

I grew up in church with my father being the minister of music, and I received Christ at age 8. I was the shy little girl who dressed up in fluffy dresses and never ever missed a Sunday in church unless I was really sick. From the time I was born to the time I was four our family was a part of a Baptist Church and that is where I spent my really young years at. We moved to Titus when I was four years old and I met my best friend, Kelly there. This is also where my father began his career as the Minister of music along with the pastor at our current church. Our families hit it off and we spent a few years here. When I was about to enter into the first grade we moved here and my family along with the pastors family built a church. We started out in a small building and then retired to a slightly bigger one. Soon we had to build.

As the years went by, and I grew older I started to lose that childlike faith that I had for so many years. I continued going to church and the summer before my seventh grade year was here before I knew it. This meant that I could attend youth camp for the first time because in a month I would officially be apart of the youth group. Before I left for this camp I prayed that God would show me something. I packed up and left for Summer Extreme a few days later. When I arrived I became friends with The Singer and hated Kay. Our last night at camp I was standing around the stage listening to Newsong. Something made me want to sit down though so I went back to my seat and a few moments later the preformed the song Rescue and I began to cry uncontrollably. The words "I need you Jesus to come to my rescue...where else can I go?" hit home and I knew that God was trying to say "Bailey listen to me!!!" but of course...I didn't. Tony Nolan then got up to speak and began talking about faith. He told a story about a young boy who was driving down the road after a storm. Something happened and a tree impaled him. The ambulances rushed to the sight and told him and his family that as soon as they pulled the tree from his body...there would be instantaneous death. People crowded around and everyone was crying. Even those who made fun of him in high school. He told them "I'm not scared. I know that I am meeting Jesus tonight. Don't be sad..." and soon after he was dead. I thought about how I wanted that much faith. At the end of Tony's sermon...he told us "look to your neighbor and as them 'if you were to die tonight...would you be in heaven?'" A friend of mine asked me first and I couldn't answer...so I simply asked her the question instead. When she repeated the question my heart pounded and I said "yes." Tony told everyone who said "no" or who knew they weren't saved to go to the back room and talk with someone. I was so so convicted. God was calling and pulling at my heart so so much that I looked at The Singer and called her name...only to say "never mind." I had pushed God away...the reason for that is quite stupid.
A year later... My youth pastor decided to take us somewhere new for camp. We went to Fuge. I went there and soon began to talk to Kay and we became best friends. This week was much like the previous year...my prayer request stayed the same. Every night during youth devo. my YP told us to write a prayer request on a card. "God show me what you want me to do." I began opening up and not caring what others thought. I began to cry out to the Lord. I came back different, although it didn't last long. I fell out of my relationship with God...I didn't follow him. I did the church thing and the youth group thing and said that I was saved. Really...I got saved the next year (last year) at Fuge. I came home only to find that it disappeared. Little did I know... this would be the worst year of my life.
I got home and found that the guy I had liked for a year liked me too. We began dating in September of '07 and I thought that it was a dream come true. I fell in love very fast and he said that he did too. Things began to fall apart under the seams about 4 months later. We began to argue nonstop and I started losing contact with some very good friends of mine to pursue my relationship with him. For six months I didn't even THINK about God. In March of '08 my world was torn apart. The guy I was in love with broke up with me and told me he didn't love me anymore. I was depressed and heart broken...I couldn't handle it. I texted the Missinator and told her that I need someone. I needed someone who would love me and talk to me. She suggested God. I told her that I was angry with God and that I didn't think I was even saved anyway. She told me that I needed to cry out to God and be saved. I realized that the whole time i was in this Godly environment...he was trying to get my attention. Every single time my ex had said "I'm going to hell and I know it" or all the other ungodly things he would say..God was telling me to get out!!! I knew it all along somewhere deep inside but I didn't listen. I began praising God and thanking him for getting me out...The two of us would have gotten in a whole lot of trouble had God not gotten me out. He let me stay there just long enough to where I learned from it...but didn't make the biggest mistake of my life.
However, I was still living an ungodly life. I was still filled with hate, guilt, anger, and even depression sometimes. The guilt caused the depression. I cursed all the time, laughed and made inappropriate jokes and I knew I still needed more God and less world. Chrysalis came just in time...
Mrs. BR sponsored The Singer, MacDaddy, Skippy, and me to go to Chrysalis. I honestly...didn't wanna go. I was scared because it sounded like some freak show where they it all leaded up to our deaths. We had to surrender our phones and all proof of time for three days. I left on Thursday. All day Thursday was great. I made new friends and learned a whole lot. (ate a lot too.) That night we went into chapel and they told us to sit quietly. They called this the night of "surrendering." I knew that I was carrying sin, guilt, and the weight of the world on my shoulders. I was carrying baggage that I had collected for almost 4 years. I cried out to God and layed everything at the feet of Jesus. The following night was proof that God loves me. People crowded to show us all how much they loved us. We sang "Jesus, Jesus can I tell you hopw I feel? You have given me your spirit...I love you so," and I knew it was true.
I felt like I was just going to return to the way I was before when I got home. I grabbed my table leader and we began to pray...then several people started praying over me. They were all praying for exactly what I was thinking. I stood up and started talking to god...a woman began to pray for me and she told me that I had to give EVERYTHING to God. I then prayed so long and so hard that I felt lightheaded...I thought I was going to pass out. The woman that had prayed with me before came to me and said "I don't know why but I feel like God keeps telling me to come back to you. I feel like there is something you have not yet let go of." I told her then that I was still angry at my ex for hurting me...and I was angry at myself for things i had done. She prayed over me and I was finally able to let go of it all...God showed me that he HAD forgiven me...
That was when I was saved.
When I told God that I could not do it alone. He saved me. I am now a completely different person. God has shown me a glimpse of my future with him...
He is the only thing that I need. With him I can do anything...

I'm ready

I'm SOOOOO ready for this day to start. I am ready to see what my God has in store for me today. Tomorrow I'm going witnessing with some coolkids and I am just so excited about it. I love sharing God with others and telling them how much he has shown me. I started writing in a book last night, and when I'm done it will have all the verses that God has shown me in troubling times.

Lord show me what you have in store for me today...
